详细描述:
Tumor necrosis factors are cytokines involved in systemic inflammation and are member of a group of cytokines that all stimulate the acute phase reaction. TNF is mainly secreted by macrophages and is a potent lymphoid factor which exerts cytotoxic effects on a wide range of tumor cells and certain other target cells. TNF causes apoptotic cell death, cellular proliferation, differentiation, inflammation, tumorigenesis and viral replication, TNF is also involved in lipid metabolism, and coagulation. TNF's primary role is in the regulation of immune cells. Dysregulation and, in particular, overproduction of TNF have been implicated in a variety of human diseases such as autoimmune diseases, insulin resistance, and cancer. Recombinant human Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (rHu TNF-alpha) produced in HEK cells is a glycosylated non-disulfide linked homotrimer of 157 amino acids, having a total molecular weight of 17 kDa. It has been purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
