详细描述：
Interferon-beta 1a belongs to the type I family of interferons. IFN-B1A binds to a heterodimeric receptor, known as the IFNɲͬɴreceptor (IFN-AR) resulting in activation of various Jak/ STAT proteins. Activation of this signaling pathway leads to the stimulation of genes which inhibit viral infection and regulate MHC class I antigens. IFN-B1A is mainly produced by fibroblasts and monocytes. On top of inhibiting viral infection, IFN beta is also involved in regulating and activating immune response against bacteria, parasite and tumor cells. Multiple sclerosis is characterized by a deficiency of IFN-beta 1. Recombinant human IFN-beta 1a produced in HEK cells is a glycosylated protein having a molecular weight in gel electrophoresis of 18-22 kDa due to glycosylation. It has been purified using proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Formulation:White (freeze-dried) powder. Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered protein solution in sodium acetate (pH 4.8), 150 mM NaCl and CHAPS.
