Interferons are cytokines that are widely known to induce potent anti-viral activity. Interferonalpha exerts a variety of other biological effects, including anti-tumor and immunomodulatory activities and are increasingly used clinically to treat a range of malignancies, myelodysplasias and autoimmune diseases. Human recombinant IFN-alpha 1 produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 167 amino acids (24-189) and having a molecular mass of 19.5 kDa.
Formulation:Sterile-filtered, colorless protein solution in PBS (pH 7.4).
