详细描述：
Transferrin is a blood plasma protein for iron ion delivery. It is a glycoprotein that binds iron very tightly butreversibly. Transferrin has a molecular weight of around 80 kDa and contains 2 specific high-affinity Fe3+ binding sites. The APO-form of Transferrin is almost free of bound iron. In serum-free medium iron carriers are essential supplements for the growth of commonly used mammalian cells. PromoCell Human Transferrin (APO) is a white lyophilized powder obtained from human plasma.
Quality Control: All lots of PromoCell Human Transferrin (APO) are subjected to comprehensive quality control tests. Each lot is routinely tested for the use with human primary cells and parameters such as biological activity and endotoxin content. Approved in-house lots are used as a reference. In addition, all lots have been tested for the absence of microbial contaminants (fungi, bacteria).
